And once again they miss the point for a lot of users wanting a low power GPU. Some of us have cases that only accept single slot cooler designs.

I guess a far more common scenario is a case with enough room for a dual-slot cooler but only a low profile card. Like a ton of business desktops from HP/Dell/Acer etc.

Some care has to be exercised when feeding a 75W card to a PCI-E slot in a retail or business class desktop from one of the major retailers. I've seen a few Dell Optiplex desktops that list in their spec sheet that the PCI-E slot isn't rated to deliver the full 75W. I personally haven't tried an upgrade like this in an underspec expansion slot so I can't speak for how things would turn out, but its something that might be worth keeping in mind.

This was cool the first two times. Wake me when a 25W GM2xx card is announced or when someone squeezes it down to a half-height card.

I am looking for that too. Is the MSI N720-2GD5HLP the best choice right now?

There are actually two half height versions of the 750 Ti, the MSI N750ti-2GD5TLP and Gigabyte's 750 Ti Low Profile OC Edition.

Wish you'd test one. I'd especially like to know the performance of the hardware h265 encoding with Handbrake.

call me back when I i can actually buy one. It's been a month since they were first announced. Just another press release product (no actual quantity) to distract people from Polaris 11.
