Yeah, I'm somewhat interested in the G-series Ryzen chips, but it's discouraging that AMD isn't releasing driver updates in lockstep with their other GPU products.
I'm currently running a 2400G on a MSI Bazooka B350M board, it's stable and has good performance in Windows 10 but it locks up every hour or so in Linux even with a 4.16+ kernel. Some distros fail to even boot, giving a kernel panic on 4.15 and lower.
The more stressed desktop version for am4 has only been out a bit over a month afaik. It goes with the territory for early adopters to expect waits on glitch fixes.
